Self healing parallel capacitors for systems - Part 1: General performance, testing, and safety requirements - Installation and operation guidelines - Scope 1: GB/T 12747. This part is applicable to capacitor units and capacitor banks specifically designed to improve the power factor of AC power systems with a nominal voltage of 1000 V and below and frequencies ranging from 15 Hz to 60 Hz. This section also applies to capacitors used in power filtering circuits. The additional definitions, requirements, and tests for power filter capacitors are given in Appendix A. This section does not apply to the following capacitors: - Non self-healing parallel capacitors for AC power systems with a nominal voltage of 1000 V or less—— Shunt capacitors for AC power systems with a nominal voltage of over 100o V; - - Capacitors for induction heating devices operating at frequencies below 50 kHz; - Series capacitor; - AC motor capacitor; - Coupling capacitor and capacitor voltage divider; - Power electronic capacitor; --- Small AC capacitors used in fluorescent and discharge lamps; capacitors used to suppress radio interference; capacitors used as components in various electrical equipment- A capacitor used under AC voltage superimposed with DC voltage. All accessories, such as insulators, switches, transformers, fuses, etc., should comply with corresponding standards, which are not included in this section.
