All electrical and electronic product designs need to consider fire risks and potential fire hazards. The purpose of designing components, circuits, and products, as well as screening materials, is to reduce the potential fire risk to an acceptable level under normal operating conditions and in the event of reasonably foreseeable abnormal use, malfunctions, and failures. The IEC 60695-1-10 and IEC 60695-1-11 developed by IEC/TC 89 together provide guidance on how to achieve this goal. The primary purpose of IEC 60695-1-10 and IEC 60695-1-11 is to provide guidance for the following behaviors: a) preventing ignition caused by live parts; b) If ignition occurs, limit the ignition to the enclosure of electrical and electronic products. The secondary purpose is to minimize the spread of flames outside the product and minimize the harmful effects of combustion streams such as heat, smoke, toxicity, and/or corrosiveness. Fires involving electrical and electronic products may also be caused by non electrical external ignition sources. The overall risk assessment should consider this factor. This section describes small-scale testing methods conducted on materials used in electrical equipment. Use a 50 W test flame as the ignition source. The grading method specified in this section can be used for quality assurance, pre-selection of product component materials, or verification of the minimum combustion level required for the materials used in the finished product. This test method cannot be used solely to describe or evaluate the fire hazard or risk of materials, products, or components under actual fire conditions. However, the results of this experiment can serve as an element for the fire risk assessment that takes into account all factors, which is related to the fire risk assessment for a specific end use. This section may involve hazardous materials, operations, and equipment. Its purpose is not to address all security issues related to it. Users of this section should establish appropriate safety and health measures and determine their applicability and limitations before using this section P>
