This chapter of GB 4706.1-2005 is replaced by the following content. This section applies to the safety of electrical clocks with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V. Note 1: Examples of appliances within the scope of this section: - - Alarm clock-- Spring driven clock with electrically driven winding mechanism; - A clock equipped with other driving devices other than an electric motor. In practical terms, the common hazards present in the appliances involved in this section are those that may be encountered by everyone in residential and residential environments. However, generally speaking, this section does not address: - the dangers of unattended young children and disabled people using equipment; - the situation of young children playing with equipment. Note 2: Pay attention to the following situations: - For appliances intended for use on vehicles, ships, or aircraft, additional requirements may be required-- In many countries, national healthcare departments, national labor protection departments, and similar departments have set additional requirements for appliances. Note 3: This section does not apply to: - Battery powered appliances—— Instruments intended for industrial use—— Intended to be used in special environments where corrosive or explosive gases (such as dust, steam, or gas) are frequently generated; - Appliances with other functions (with or without time display), such as master clocks and timers for cooking utensils, washing machines, and similar appliances---- Instruments used for "automatic timing" purposes-- Appliances only equipped with electronic circuits (GB 8898).
