Scope 1.1 This standard specifies the requirements for shaft sealed rotary power pumps (hereinafter referred to as "pumps") driven by magnetic couplings (magnetic drive pumps) or shielded motors. These pumps are mainly used in chemical processes, water treatment, and the petrochemical industry, and their use is also limited by space, noise, environmental, or safety regulations. A shaft sealed pump refers to a pressure vessel containing the pumped liquid, which is completely enclosed by the internal rotor. The pressure vessel or main sealing device is composed of a gasket or О Sealing with static seals such as O-rings. 1.2 In addition to the special requirements specified in this standard, pumps should generally comply with recognized standard requirements (such as GB/T 5656, explosion-proof, electromagnetic compatibility, etc.). 1.3 This standard includes design features related to the installation, maintenance, and operational safety of pumps, and describes the terms that need to be agreed upon between the purchaser and the manufacturer/supplier. 1.4 In cases where the application of this standard is already required and there are special design features, alternative designs can be proposed, but at the same time, it should be stated that these designs meet the intent of this standard and described in detail. Pumps that do not fully meet the requirements of this standard can be proposed for consideration, as long as all non conformities are explained.
