This part of the scope GB/T10230 specifies the terms and definitions of tap changer, usage conditions, technical requirements for on load tap changer, technical requirements for electric mechanism of on load tap changer, technical requirements for non excitation tap changer, technical requirements for electric mechanism of non excitation tap changer, nameplate, warning label of non excitation tap changer, and manufacturer's manual. This section is applicable to resistive and reactive on-load tap changers, non excitation tap changers, and their electric mechanisms. This section is applicable to tap changer immersed in mineral insulating oil in accordance with GB 2536. If the conditions are suitable, it can also be applied to gas insulated or tap changer immersed in other insulating liquids. This section is mainly applicable to on-load tap changer with live arc contacts. If conditions are applicable, it can also be applied to on-load tap changer without arc (such as electronic conversion). This section is applicable to tap changers for all types of power transformers, distribution transformers, and reactors. This section does not apply to tap changers for traction transformers and traction reactors, and tap changers for regulating transformers.
