This standard specifies the definition, usage conditions, structural requirements, technical characteristics, and verification requirements of bypass transfer switch appliances and complete equipment. This standard applies to bypass transfer switch appliances and complete equipment with a rated voltage of no more than 1000 V AC and no more than 1500 V DC. The complete set of bypass transfer switch electrical equipment refers to a fixed, cabinet type structure. Bypass Transfer Switching Equipment (BTSE) is used for switching between power sources. It includes the automatic transfer switching device (ATSE) of the main circuit, the bypass switching device, and other necessary devices. When the automatic transfer switching device (ATSE) exits the main circuit, the bypass switching device should be able to ensure power supply to the load. This standard applies to bypass transfer switch appliances and complete sets of equipment that are designed, manufactured, and verified in one go or fully standardized for mass production. The complete set of equipment for production and/or assembly may not be the initial manufacturer (see 3.1.8). This standard only applies to bypass transfer switch appliances composed of PC grade transfer switch appliances. This standard is applicable for indoor use
