
This part of GB/T 15579 specifies the safety and performance requirements for arc welding and cutting power supplies and auxiliary devices designed for use by non professionals and connected to single-phase public low-voltage power supply systems. Power supplies driven by mechanical equipment with an output power not exceeding 7.5kVA. Note 1: This type of equipment is usually used by non professionals in residential areas. This section is not applicable to the following arc welding and cutting power sources: with arc striking and stabilizing devices; Equipped with liquid cooling system; Equipped with air circuit device; Three phase input power supply: and power supply only for industrial and professional use. This section does not apply to arc welding and cutting power sources and auxiliary devices used in the following processes: (1) applications using mechanical guidance; Submerged arc welding- Plasma gouging: Plasma welding.
