This standard specifies measurement methods for sound and television receivers and related equipment, as well as limits for controlling interference from such equipment. For multifunctional devices, they should simultaneously meet the requirements of this standard and/or other relevant clauses of the standard, as shown in 4.1. This standard applies to the electromagnetic energy generated by sound and television receivers and related equipment for receiving broadcasting and similar transmissions, with a frequency range of 9 kHz to 400 GHz. Frequencies without specified limits do not require measurement. The receiving system used for collective reception, especially the front end of the cable distribution system (common antenna television, CATV) and the common receiving system (main antenna television, MATV) belong to the category of GB13836. The requirements for broadcasting receivers used for receiving digital signals are shown in Appendix A and Appendix B. Information Technology Equipment (ITE) is not included, even if it is connected to a television receiver. The telecommunications port connecting the broadcasting receiver to the telecommunications network falls within the scope of GB 9254. In addition, when the telecommunications port has a broadcast reception function, the broadcast reception function that can be independent of the telecommunications function should be measured separately, and the telecommunications function does not work during the measurement period. PC tuning cards should be measured in accordance with the corresponding provisions of this standard. The following normative references are essential for the application of this document.
