1.1 Scope: This standard applies to reactors (hereinafter referred to as reactors) connected in series with parallel capacitors in 6-63kV power systems to suppress grid voltage waveform distortion, control harmonic components flowing through capacitors, and limit the inrush current of capacitor combination gates. 1.2 Terminology a. System rated voltage: The rated voltage of the system at the point where a circuit connected in series with a reactor and a parallel capacitor is connected to the power system, denoted by U. b. Rated terminal voltage: When designing a reactor, the effective value of the power frequency voltage used at both ends of one phase winding, expressed in U, is used. c. Rated current: The effective value of the power frequency current used in the design of the reactor, expressed in I. d. Rated capacity: The reactive power when operating at rated terminal voltage and rated current, expressed in S. Single phase reactor: Sx=UNvi Three phase reactor: S,=3UNIv e. Rated reactance: The reactance value at the rated power frequency voltage, represented by X. F Rated reactance rate: The percentage ratio of the rated reactance of a reactor to the rated capacitive reactance of a parallel capacitor bank connected in series, expressed in K. g. Rated inductance: The inductance value used in the design of the reactor, expressed in L. h. Maximum working current: The effective value of the maximum power frequency current when the reactor can operate continuously and the temperature rise does not exceed the specified value. i. Maximum short-term current: The effective value of the steady-state component of short-term current that is allowed to pass through the reactor without causing abnormal heating or mechanical damage within the specified time. j. Rated frequency: The frequency used in designing the reactor, taken as 50Hz. k. Supporting parallel capacitor bank: A parallel capacitor bank that corresponds to the rated terminal voltage of the reactor and meets the required reactance rate. Oil immersed iron core reactor: A reactor in which the iron core and winding are immersed in insulating oil
