This standard specifies the product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, and storage and transportation requirements for communication cables - office symmetric cables. This standard applies to symmetrical communication cables (hereinafter referred to as cables) used for the connection between programmable switching equipment, the main distribution frame within the switching station, and the user circuit board of the switching station.
