This specification specifies the general requirements, quality assurance regulations, and delivery preparation for RF coaxial connectors. This specification applies to RF coaxial connectors (hereinafter referred to as connectors) for connecting flexible RF cables and certain other types of coaxial transmission lines. The relevant clauses in the following documents are referred to as provisions of this specification. Any reference document with a date or revision shall not be applicable to this specification in any subsequent modification list (excluding corrected content) or revised version. However, parties advocating the use of this specification shall explore the possibility of using its latest version. For referenced documents without date or revision, the latest version applies to this specification. In case of any inconsistency between the requirements of this specification and the relevant detailed specifications, the relevant detailed specifications shall prevail. The connectors provided according to this specification should be qualified products (see 4.3). 3.2 Material 3.2.1 Surface Treatment Unless otherwise specified (see 6.3), the connector center contact and shell should be coated according to the following methods to meet the requirements of this specification and avoid harmful interactions between incompatible metals. 3.2.1.1 Unless otherwise specified (see 6.3), the center contact of the connector should be gold-plated on a nickel plated bottom layer with a minimum thickness of 1.27pm and a minimum thickness of 1.27um. The internal surface coating of the contact should be thick enough and uniform to ensure that it meets the predetermined performance requirements of the contact. Silver plated substrates are not allowed and harmful interactions between incompatible metals should be avoided. 3.2.1.2 Unless otherwise specified (see 6.3), all connector shells should undergo surface treatment, with a minimum thickness of 5.08pm when silver plated, and to avoid harmful interactions between incompatible metals. Unless otherwise specified, all stainless steel shell connectors should be passivated. 3.2.2 Incompatible metals that may generate electromotive force coupling between each other should not be in contact with each other (see Appendix A). 3.2.3 All parts made of non-magnetic materials (except for gas sealed connectors) should be made of non-magnetic materials (see 3.7). 3.2.4 Unless otherwise specified in the relevant detailed specifications, the elastic parts of the central contact part shall be made of bronze plated. 3.3 Structure and Features
