1.1 Scope This standard specifies the technical requirements for factory assembled AC metal enclosed switchgear and control equipment with a rated voltage of 3.6 kV~40,5 kV, installed indoors or outdoors, and a frequency of 50 Ha and below. The casing may contain fixed or removable components and may be filled with insulation and/or breaking fluids (liquid or gas). Note 1: This standard is mainly applicable to three-phase systems, but can also be used for single-phase or two-phase systems. According to the following points, this standard divides metal enclosed switchgear and control equipment into several categories-- Continuity of power grid operation during maintenance of switchgear and control equipment- The need and convenience of equipment maintenance. Note 2. The safety of equipment depends on the design, use, adjustment, coordination, installation, and operation of the product. For metal enclosed switchgear and control equipment with inflatable compartments, this standard applies when the design pressure does not exceed 0.3 MPa (relative pressure). Note 3: Design pressure exceeds О. Inflatable compartments with a relative pressure of 3 MPa should be designed and tested in accordance with GB7674. Special purpose metal enclosed switchgear and control equipment, such as those used for flammable gases, mines, or ships, may require additional technical requirements. The components installed in metal enclosed switchgear and control equipment shall be designed and tested in accordance with the provisions of their respective standards. Considering the installation of various components in complete switchgear and control equipment, this standard supplements the standards for individual components. This standard does not exclude the use of other equipment in the same enclosure, and the impact of the equipment on the complete switchgear and control equipment should be considered. Note 4:; Complete sets of switchgear and control equipment with insulated enclosures shall comply with the provisions of 1EC 604661987; Note 5: For air insulated metal enclosed switchgear and control equipment with a rated voltage of 40.5 kV or above, if they meet the insulation level specified in GB/T '11022-1999, this standard also applies. 1.2 Normative References: The clauses in the following documents become clauses of this standard through reference in this standard. For dated reference documents, all subsequent amendments (excluding corrected content) or revisions are not applicable to this standard. However, parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to study whether the latest versions of these documents can be used.
