This standard is applicable to the determination of the ability of metal wires with a diameter or thickness of 0.1mm~10mm to withstand plastic deformation during the winding test process. The 2-principle winding test is to tightly wrap the wire sample on a core rod with a diameter that meets the relevant standards for the specified number of spiral turns. This experiment can also include winding, unwinding, or even rewinding of special procedures. 3. The testing equipment should be able to wrap the wire around the core rod and make adjacent coils tightly arranged in a spiral coil. The wire used for testing can also be used as a core rod as long as it meets the specified core rod diameter and has sufficient hardness. 4 Test Procedure 4.1 The test should generally be conducted at a room temperature of 10 ℃~35 ℃. If there are special requirements, the test temperature should be 23 ℃ ± 5 ℃. 4.2 The sample should be tightly wrapped around the core rod in the spiral direction at a constant speed of no more than one turn per second without any twisting. If necessary, the winding speed can be slowed down to prevent temperature rise from affecting the test results. 4.3 To ensure tight winding, a tension force of no more than 5% of the corresponding force value of the nominal tensile strength of the wire can be applied at the free end of the sample during winding. 4.4 If it is required to unwind or rewind after unwinding, the unwinding and rewinding speed should be as slow as possible to prevent temperature rise from affecting the test results. At least one winding ring should be retained at the end of the sample during unwinding. 4.5 The determination of winding test results should be carried out in accordance with relevant standards. If there are no specific requirements, the surface of the sample can be inspected without magnification tools. If no cracks are found, the sample is deemed qualified. Wire with a diameter or thickness less than 0.5 mm should be inspected at approximately 10 times magnification P>
