This standard specifies the evaluation method for the electric field intensity and magnetic induction intensity around household and similar appliances, including operating conditions, measurement distance and location, involving electromagnetic fields not exceeding 300 GHz. The appliance can be equipped with an electric motor, an electric heating element, or both, and can include electrical or electronic circuits. It can be powered by mains, batteries, or other power sources. Appliances include household appliances, electric tools, and electric toys. Instruments that are not intended for general household use but can still be in public contact or used by non professionals fall within the scope of this standard. This standard does not apply to: - appliances specifically designed for heavy industry—— Electrical installation components intended to be fixed on buildings (such as fuses, circuit breakers, cables, and switches); -- Radio and television receivers, audio and video equipment, and electronic instruments; - Medical electrical installations; - Personal computers and similar devices- Radio transmitter; - Design tools specifically designed for vehicles. For multifunctional equipment that simultaneously involves different clauses of this standard and/or other standards, the relevant functions should be evaluated according to the provisions of each clause/standard. Do not consider the abnormal operation of the equipment. This standard includes the following specific elements for evaluating human exposure: - regulations for sensors; - regulations for measurement methods; - Regulations on the operating mode of the tested equipment; - Regulations on measuring distance and position. The specific measurement method is applicable in the frequency range of 10 Hz to 400 kHz. Unless otherwise specified in GB 4706 (all parts), instruments within the scope of this standard are deemed to comply without testing in the frequency range of 400 kHz above and 10 Hz below.
