1.1 Scope 1.1.1 Overview The general requirements of the GB/T 4214 series standards apply to household and similar electrical appliances powered by the power grid or batteries, including their accessories and components. If not specifically specified in the special requirements of the GB/T 4214 series of standards, similar uses can be understood as being used under conditions similar to home environments, such as in small hotels, coffee shops, tea rooms, hotels, barbershops, laundries, etc. This section does not apply to: - appliances, equipment, or machines designed specifically for industrial or professional purposes; - appliances that are part of the overall structure of buildings or facilities installed on buildings, such as heating or ventilation devices (excluding household fans, stoves, and movable vertical heating appliances), oil fired boilers for centralized heating, water pumps for water supply and drainage systems, etc; Note: The air conditioner products for household and similar purposes covered by GB/T 7725 belong to the scope of this part-- A separate electric motor or generator; -- Equipment used outdoors. 1.1.2 Different types of noise are classified in GB/T 19052-2003. The methods listed in GB/T 3767-1996 are applicable to the measurement of various types of noise emitted by household appliances. The methods listed in GB/T 6881.2-2002 and GB/T 6881.3-2002 are applicable to various types of noise other than pulse noise. This will be taken into account when formulating special requirements. The methods listed in GB/T 3767-1996 are applicable to any size of sound source. The limits on the size of sound sources are given in 1.3 of GB/T 6881.2-2002 and GB/T 6881.3-2002. This will be taken into account when formulating special requirements. 1.2 Measurement Quantity This section provides an engineering level measurement method (Level 2 in GB/T 19052-2003) for measuring the air noise sound power level Lw (in dB, with a reference quantity of 1 pW) of the tested instrument within the specified frequency range (usually including the octave band with a center frequency of 125 Hz~8 kHz) under specified operating conditions. The following quantities will be used: - A-weighted sound power level Lwa- Octave band sound power level. The methods described in this section usually refer to situations where the test operator is not present. Only when the equipment must be operated or fed by the testing operator, the presence of the testing operator can be specified in the special requirements
