If there is a grounding wire in the power lead of the tested instrument, the plug end of the grounding wire should be connected to the reference ground of the measuring device. When a grounding wire is required and is not included in the power lead, the grounding terminal of the test instrument should be connected to the reference ground of the measuring device using a lead wire. The length of the lead wire should not exceed the length required to connect to the V-shaped artificial power network, and the lead wire should be parallel to the power lead wire and not more than 0.1 meters apart If the appliance does not provide a power lead, a lead not exceeding 1 meter (including a plug or socket) should be used to connect the appliance to the V-shaped artificial power network
