- Application of limit values

General requirements This clause describes the application of limit values for all instruments, including regulating controllers equipped with semiconductor devices, electric fence exciters, rectifiers, battery chargers, and converters. If no clock frequency higher than 9 kHz is included, no limit value is specified in the frequency range of 30 MHz to 1000 MHz. According to methods a) or b), evaluate the emission of the tested equipment in the frequency range of 30 MHz to 1000 MHz. a) In the frequency range of 30 MHz to 300 MHz, any equipment other than electric tools should comply with the limits in columns 2 and 3 of Table 2a. For electric tools, specific limits are given in columns 4 to 9 of Table 2a based on the rated power of the motor, except for the power of any heating device (such as the heating power of a plastic welding blower). If the following conditions 1) and 2) are met simultaneously, the instrument is considered to meet the requirements in the frequency range of 300 MHz to 1000 MHz. 1) All emission values of the tested equipment should be lower than the application limit (Table 2a) minus the corresponding margin (Table 2b)
