Detection of socket type residual current appliances with or without overcurrent protection for hous

This standard specifies the scope of residual current appliances, including the function of detecting residual current, comparing the residual current value with the residual action current value, and the function of disconnecting the protected circuit when the residual current exceeds this value. The maximum rated residual current is 30 mA. For SRCD with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V AC, its maximum rated current is 16A; For SRCDs with a rated voltage not exceeding 130 V AC, the maximum rated current is 20 A. This standard applies to residual current operated appliances (SRCD: socket type residual current appliances) that are assembled or specifically used in conjunction with two-pole sockets with or without grounding contacts for household and similar purposes. SRCDs that comply with this standard are powered by phase to neutral, phase to phase, or indirectly grounded conductors in phase to phase. SRCD is only used to provide additional protection for its outgoing terminals. SRCD is expected to be used in circuits where its predecessor has ensured fault protection (indirect contact protection). Note 1: For example, fault protection (indirect contact protection) can be provided by the following devices: in a TT system, the front stage uses RCCB or RCBO that complies with GB 16916.1 and GB 16917.1. In a TN system, the front stage can use overcurrent protection devices. SRCD cannot provide isolation function nor can it be used in IT systems. Note 2: For SRCDs that are expected to provide isolation functions or fault protection, or are used in IT systems, GB 16916.1 and GB 16917.1, along with GB 2099.1, should be used as applicable standards. Note 3: The technical requirements and tests for SRCDs expected to be used in IT systems are under consideration. SRCDs should not be used in distribution boards as they are not used to protect a complete distribution circuit or terminal circuit. These products are expected to be installed in installation boxes that comply with GB 17466.1; Or cable tray system in accordance with GB/T 19215.1; Or comply with IEC 61534 power supply pipeline system; Or in an installation box that is close to the socket box and meets one of the above standards. These products are not expected to be used in enclosures that comply with the GB 17466.24 or GB 7251 series. RCD for household and similar purposes not covered by the scope of this standard are included in GB 16916 or GB 16917. SRCDs powered by batteries or other circuits other than those supplying power to the load are not included in the scope of this standard. This standard also applies to SRCDs with overload or overcurrent protection. This standard also applies to wiring components assembled with residual current appliances, which are only used to provide protection for single fixed electrical equipment (such as hand dryers, water coolers, etc.) adjacent to the wiring components. Note 4: SRCD is designed to be operated by non professional personnel and does not require maintenance. The technical requirements of this standard are applicable to normal temperature and environmental conditions. SRCDs used in more severe environmental conditions may require additional technical requirements. The socket part of SRCD meets the requirements of GB 2099.1-2008 This standard specifies that residual current appliances include the function of detecting residual current, comparing the residual current value with the residual action current value, and the function of disconnecting the protected circuit when the residual current exceeds this value.
