This chapter of GB 4706.1-2005 is replaced by the following: This part of GB 4706 specifies the safety of appliances for household and similar purposes that recover refrigerants from air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. This section applies to the safety of electrical appliances that recover and/or regenerate refrigerants from air conditioners and refrigeration equipment, equipped with open or fully enclosed motor-compressor drives. The maximum rated voltage of single-phase appliances does not exceed 250 V, and the rated voltage of other appliances does not exceed 60o V. Appliances that are not intended for general household use but may still pose a risk to the public also fall within the scope of this section, such as those intended for use by non professionals in shops, light industries, and farms. The above appliances may consist of components produced by one or multiple factories. If multiple components are provided and these individual components are to be used together, the technical requirements of this section should be based on the use of assembled components. Note 10l: The definition of "fully enclosed motor compressor" is given in IEC 60335-2-34. Note 102: The requirements for refrigeration appliances refer to the standard GB 9237. Note 103: For appliances with combustible refrigerants, additional requirements are under consideration.
