Testing of couplers for household and similar appliances (national standard)

1. Scope of application:

This part of GB 17465 is applicable to two-pole appliance couplers for household and similar purposes, with or without grounding contacts, with a rated voltage not exceeding 250V and a rated current not exceeding 16A, and only for AC applications. This coupler is used to connect the power cord to electrical appliances or other electrical equipment with a power frequency of 50 Hz or 6o Hz. Note 1: Appliance input sockets installed on or integrated with appliances or equipment are within the scope of this section, and the dimensions and general requirements of this section apply to such sockets - but some tests may not be applicable. Note 2: The requirements for connectors are based on the temperature of the corresponding appliance input socket plug not exceeding the following values: for connectors used in cold conditions, not exceeding 70 c. for connectors used in hot conditions, not exceeding 120 ℃, and for connectors used in extremely hot conditions, not exceeding 155 ℃. Note 3: Appliance couplers that comply with this part are suitable for use in ambient temperatures typically not exceeding 35 ℃ and occasionally reaching 40 ℃. Note 4: Appliance couplers that comply with the standard leaflets in this section are suitable for connecting equipment without special moisture-proof protection. If used to connect equipment that may be subject to liquid clarification during normal use, the equipment should have moisture-proof measures. Note 5: The following situations may require special structures: - in places with special conditions, such as ships, vehicles, and similar places: - in dangerous places, such as places where explosions may occur. 2 Normative references: The clauses in the following documents are referred to in this part of GB17465 and become the clauses of this part. For dated reference documents, all subsequent amendments (excluding corrected content) or revisions do not apply to this section. However, parties to agreements based on this section are encouraged to study whether the latest versions of these documents can be used.
