This section does not apply to devices that only indicate time or record time processes. This section is not applicable to multifunctional controllers that integrate timing functional components that cannot be tested separately. 1.1.1 Substitution: This section applies to the inherent safety of timers, to operational characteristics related to device safety, and also to the testing of electric automatic controllers used in household and similar appliances or other equipment (including live or non live). In the absence of corresponding standards, it is also suitable for industrial purposes, such as central heating, air conditioning, heat treatment, etc. The timers used for devices that are not intended for general household use but are used in public places such as shops, light industries, and farms by non professionals are also included in this section. This section also applies to timers used in appliances within the scope of GB 4706.1. This section does not apply to timers specifically designed for industrial use. Note: The term "equipment" used in this section includes appliances and equipment. 1.1.2 Substitution: This section applies to mechanically operated, electromechanical operated, electrically operated, or electronically operated electric automatic controllers, which can respond to or control various characteristics, such as temperature, pressure, passage of time, humidity, light, electrostatic effect flow, liquid level, etc. 1.1.3 Substitution: This section is applicable to electric automatic controllers mainly used for starting small motors in household and similar appliances and equipment. This controller can be installed inside the motor or separated from the motor. 1.1.4 Substitution: This section also applies to non automatic controllers that are integrated with automatic controllers. 1.2 Substitution: This section is applicable to controllers with a rated voltage not exceeding 690 V and a rated current not exceeding 63A. 1.3 Substitution: This section does not specify the automatic action response values related to the installation method of timers in the equipment. If the response value is closely related to the safety of the user or the surrounding environment, the response value specified by the corresponding household equipment standard or determined by the manufacturer shall apply in this section
