Added terms and definitions: 3.101 Circular saw is a tool used to cut various materials with a rotating serrated blade. 3.102 Cutting edge zone The cutting edge zone of the saw blade radius is 20% closer to the edge. 3.103 Guide plate is a circular saw component placed on the material to be sawn (see Figure 113). When the lower guard of the 3.104 lower guard is in the closed or resting position, it is usually a movable saw blade cover device located below the guide plate. 3.105 Upper guard is a fixed and/or movable saw blade cover located above the guide plate. 3.106 The dividing knife is a metal part placed in the plane of the saw blade to prevent the workpiece from gripping the back of the saw blade. When sawing with outer pendulum guard, the lower guard of the circular saw with a swinging outer guard is enclosed outside its fixed upper guard for swinging (see Figure 101). 3.108 When sawing with inner pendulum guard, the lower guard of a circular saw with a swinging inner guard is enclosed within its fixed upper guard for swinging (see Figure 102)
