1 Scope This part of GB/T 1033 specifies three methods for determining the density of non cellular plastics: - Method A: Immersion method, which is applicable to solid plastics without pores except powders—— Method B: Liquid pycnometer method, suitable for small slices of powder, sheet, granular or product components-- Method C: Titration method, suitable for plastics without pores. This part is applicable to molded or extruded non cellular plastics, as well as powder, sheet and granular non cellular plastics. Note: This section is applicable to various non porous granular materials. Density is usually used to examine changes in the physical structure or composition of plastic materials, as well as to evaluate the uniformity of samples or specimens. The density of plastic materials depends on the method of sample preparation, and in this case, the method of sample preparation should be included in the relevant material standards. This note applies to all three methods in this section. 2 Normative References: The clauses in the following documents are referred to in this part of GB/T 1033 and become the clauses of this standard. For dated references, all subsequent amendments (excluding corrected content) or revisions do not apply to this section. However, parties to agreements based on this section are encouraged to study whether the latest versions of these documents can be used.
