Scope of application
1.1 This part of GB 15092 stipulates that switches must be operated by humans through operating components or by excitation sensors. The operating component or sensor can be physically or electrically combined with the switch, or can be configured separately. It may also include signal transmission between the operating component or sensor and the switch, such as electrical, optical, acoustic, or temperature signal transmission. This section applies to appliance switches (mechanical or electronic) driven by hand, foot, or other human body movements, used to activate or control household or similar electrical appliances and other equipment, with a rated voltage not exceeding 480 V and a rated current not exceeding 63 A. Switches that have additional control functions subject to opening and closing requirements are within the scope of this section. This section also includes indirectly driven switches, where the operation of the operating components or sensors is achieved by a part of the remote control, appliance, or equipment (such as a door). Note 1: Electronic switches can be combined with mechanical switches that provide complete or micro disconnection. Note 2: Electronic switches without mechanical switches in the power circuit only provide electronic disconnection. Therefore, the circuit on the load side is always considered live, note 3. Additional requirements may be required for switches used in tropical climate environments. Note 4. Note that appliance standards may contain additional or alternative requirements for switches. Note 5: In this section, the term "appliance" refers to "appliance or equipment". Note 6: When testing attached switches, this part of GB 15092 applies. When testing other types of appliance switches, this part needs to be combined with the relevant Part 2 of GB 15092 to apply. However, for other types of switches not mentioned in Part 2, as long as electrical safety is involved, this part can be used. 1.2 This section applies to switches that are specified to be attached to, on, or assembled with the appliance. 1.3 This section also applies to switches equipped with electronic devices. 1.4 This section also applies to switches for the following appliances: switches connected to flexible cables (flexible wire switches) with special requirements specified in GB 15092.2; Note: In this document, the term "cable" refers to "cable or flexible cord". A switch that is integrated with the appliance (split switch)—— Switches that are not within the scope of GB 16915.1 and have special requirements for installation without appliances specified in GB 15092.4 (independent installation switches)—— The conversion selector with special requirements is specified in GB 15092.3. 1.5 This section does not include requirements for isolating switches. 1.6 This section does not apply to electrical appliances that control instruments and equipment without being consciously driven by humans. These electrical appliances belong to the scope of GB 14536. 2 Normative References: The clauses in the following documents are referred to in this part of GB 15092 and become the clauses of this part. For dated reference documents, all subsequent amendments (excluding corrected content) or revisions do not apply to this section. However, parties to agreements based on this section are encouraged to study whether the latest versions of these documents can be used. For undated references, the latest version applies to this section.
