This chapter in the scope GB4706.1-2005 is replaced by the following content: This part of GB 4706 relates to the safety of commercial microwave ovens with a cavity door. For single-phase appliances connected to a phase line and a neutral line, the rated voltage shall not exceed 250 V, and for other appliances, it shall not exceed 480 V. This section applies to the safety of modular microwave ovens with a cavity door, and its requirements include Appendix AA. This section also applies to the safety of commercial microwave ovens without chamber doors, where food or beverages enter the chamber for heating through transportation devices. The requirements include Appendix BB. The microwave oven applicable to Appendix BB, whose microwave load should enter the furnace chamber through a transport device; Appendix BB also applies to the requirements for tunnel type microwave ovens and several types of microwave vending machines. This section also applies to microwave ovens intended for use on ships, and its requirements include Appendix EE. Note 101: For microwave ovens without cavity doors and with transport devices described in Appendix BB, all provisions of this section apply to such microwave ovens, unless otherwise specified in Appendix BB. This section considers ordinary personnel in the vending machine clearance area.
