Classification
Valve controlled sealed lead-acid batteries can be divided into two categories: one type is lean liquid type, namely cathode absorption type ultrafine fiber diaphragm batteries. Batteries from domestic battery factories such as Huada, Nandu, and Shuangdeng, as well as batteries from imported Japanese companies such as Tangshen and American GNB, belong to this category; The other type is colloidal batteries, including batteries from Shenyang Northeast Battery Factory in China and imported German solar batteries from abroad. The principle and structure of both types of valve regulated sealed lead-acid batteries are based on the original lead-acid battery, and measures are taken to promote the cycling and recombination of oxygen and suppress the generation of hydrogen. Any generation of oxygen can be considered as a loss of water. If excessive water loss occurs, the battery will dry up and fail, leading to an increase in internal resistance and a loss of battery capacity

Valve controlled batteries have the following characteristics: (1) There is no need to add water during maintenance work; (2) Excellent high current discharge performance, especially excellent impulse discharge performance; (3) The self discharge current is small, with a monthly self discharge rate of less than 2% at 25 ℃, which is about 1/5-1/4 of other lead-acid batteries; (4) No liquid leakage, no acid mist, no corrosion of equipment, no harm to people, and no pollution to the environment; (5) The battery has a long lifespan and can be used in a floating charge state at 25 ℃, with a lifespan of up to 10-15 years; (6) Compact structure, good sealing performance, can be installed in the same room as the equipment, can be installed vertically or horizontally, occupies a small area, and has good seismic performance; (7) There is no memory effect of cadmium nickel batteries
