Scope
This standard specifies the definition and measurement method of the central light intensity and corresponding beam angle of reflector lamps. This standard applies to incandescent lamps for general lighting, halogen tungsten lamps, gas discharge lamps, and reflective lamps using LED as the light source, but it is not applicable to lamps for special purposes, such as floodlights This standard only covers the design tests of lamps
Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 2.1
The optical beam axis refers to the axis around which the distribution of light intensity is generally symmetrical.
Note 1: The axis of the beam may not necessarily be the same as the axis of the lamp passing through the lamp cap or perpendicular to the reference plane of the reflector (such as the edge), as shown in Figure 1. Note 2: When visually determining the symmetry state, the error is small (negligible)

Peak intensity I,
The maximum value of the luminous intensity, which may not necessarily be on the beam axis.

Center beam intensityI
The luminous intensity value measured on the beam axis.

Beam angle
The angle between two imaginary lines passing through the plane of the beam axis, passing through the center of the lamp's front face and a point with a luminous intensity of 50% of the center light intensity.
