Portable rechargeable battery detection

1. The fastest inspection method is to test the internal resistance and maximum discharge current. A high-quality lithium battery has a very small internal resistance and a large maximum discharge current. Using a 20A range multimeter, directly short circuiting the two electrodes of a lithium battery, the current should generally be around 10A or even higher, and can be maintained for a period of time. A relatively stable battery is a good one. 2. Look at the appearance. The fullness of the appearance, such as a typical 2000mAh lithium battery, is relatively large in size. The workmanship is relatively fine or the packaging appears relatively plump. 3. Look at the hardness. You can gently or moderately pinch the middle part of a lithium battery with your hand. If the hardness is moderate and there is no soft squeezing feeling, it proves that a lithium battery cell is a relatively high-quality battery cell. 4. Look at the weight. Remove the outer packaging and feel if the battery weight is relatively heavy. If it is thick and heavy, it belongs to high-quality battery cells. 5. During the live working process of a lithium battery, if the two poles of the battery continue to discharge for about 10 minutes without overheating, it indicates that the battery protection board system is complete. Generally, lithium batteries with high-quality protection boards have better quality than ordinary lithium batteries. The main reasons for errors in testing are: 1. The discharge time (actual 266 minutes) is slightly less than the national standard of 5 hours, which means the discharge current is slightly higher. Considering the internal resistance factor of the battery, the test results may be slightly smaller. 2. The accuracy of the constant current source is insufficient, which is lower than the national standard requirements (with a current change of less than 1%), mainly caused by changes in transistor temperature. 3. The accuracy of the ammeter is lower than the national standard requirements (should be ≤ 0.5 level accuracy). 4. The battery charging method is slightly different from the national standard requirements (the national standard requires that the charging time should not exceed 8 hours), but meets the maximum capacity condition of the battery in use
