This chapter in GB 14536.1 applies except for the following:

Not intended for general household use, but for equipment used by non professionals in public places such as shops, light industries, and farms, the starting relays used for electric motors are also included in this section This section is not applicable to the design of starting relays for electric motors intended for industrial purposes only Note: The term 'equipment' used in this section includes' appliances and equipment '. The term "starting relay" means "starting relay for electric motors" This section applies to starting relays equipped with electronic devices, as well as starting relays that use thermistor elements, thermal elements, and magnetic elements This section is not applicable to general purpose relays, contactors, and motor starters within the scope of GB 14048 series. This section does not apply to mechanical timers and electrically operated starting devices This section applies to manual controllers that are electrically or mechanically combined with starting relays. The requirements for manual switches that do not form part of the starter are included in GB 15092.1 This section is applicable to starting relays with a rated voltage value not exceeding 690 V and a rated current not exceeding 63A This section considers the response values of automatic actions that depend on the installation method of the starting relay in the equipment. If the response value is meaningful for protecting users and the surrounding environment, the response value specified by the corresponding equipment standard or determined by the manufacturer shall apply
