Note 1: The following instruments are within the scope of application: - Instruments for atomizing water; - A device for heating and evaporating water; - An instrument that blows air through a damp medium. Humidifiers that are not intended for general household use but may still pose a risk to the public, such as those intended for use by non professionals in shops, light industries, and farms, also fall within the scope of this standard. In practical terms, the common hazards of humidifiers involved in this section are those that may be encountered by all people in residential and residential environments. However, generally speaking, this section does not address: - the dangers of unattended young children and people with disabilities using equipment; - The situation of children playing with equipment. Note 2: Pay attention to the following situations: - For humidifiers intended for use on vehicles, ships, or aircraft, additional requirements may be required; - In many countries, national healthcare departments, national labor protection departments, and similar departments have set additional requirements for appliances. Note 3: This section does not apply to: - Liquid heaters (GB 4706.19); - Humidifiers intended for use in heating, ventilation, or air conditioning systems (IEC 60335-2-88); - Medical electrical equipment (GB 9706.1); - Industrial appliances; - Intended to use humidifiers in special environments that frequently produce corrosive or explosive gases such as dust, steam, or gas.
