Scope
This standard applies to radio frequency disturbances emitted (radiated and conducted) by the following equipment:
All lighting equipment used for lighting that has the basic function of generating and/or distributing light and is intended to be connected to low-voltage power sources or operated on batteries; One of the main functions is the lighting part of the multifunctional equipment for lighting; independent auxiliary equipment dedicated to lighting equipment; ultraviolet and infrared radiation equipment; neon advertising signs; road or floodlighting intended for outdoor use; Transportation lighting (installed on cars and trains)
Excluded from the scope of this standard are:
Accessories intended for installation in lighting equipment; lighting equipment operating in the industrial, scientific, and medical frequency bands (as defined in ITU Radio Regulations Resolution 63 (1979)); Lighting equipment for aircraft and airports; The electromagnetic compatibility requirements within the RF range are clearly specified in other CISPR standards for appliances, even if they have built-in lighting functions
Note 1: Examples not included include:
built-in lighting devices used for displaying backlight and signals; Range hood, refrigerator, freezer; Photocopiers. Slide projectors; Lighting equipment for road motor vehicles The frequency range covered is 9 kHz to 400 GHz Multifunctional equipment that simultaneously applies different clauses of this standard and/or other standards should meet the provisions of each clause or standard when working with related functions For equipment outside the scope of this standard and with lighting as a secondary function, it is not necessary to evaluate its lighting function separately according to this standard if the lighting function has been operated when evaluated according to its applicable standards Note 2: Examples of lighting as a secondary function of a product include range hoods, electric fans, refrigerators, freezers, ovens, and televisions with ambient lighting
