- high-voltage direct current transmission and industrial smoothing reactor Except for the following reactors:
- single-phase reactors with a rated capacity of less than 1 kvar and three-phase reactors with a rated capacity of less than 5 kvar
- Various specialized reactors, such as high-frequency line arresters or reactors installed on railway vehicles
