The electrical part of the intermediate relay consists of coils and contacts, both of which are tested using the resistance range of a multimeter ① Detect the contact when the control coil is not powered on. The contacts include normally open contacts and normally closed contacts. When the control coil is not powered on, the normally open contact is in the open state with infinite resistance, and the normally closed contact is in the closed state with a resistance close to 0 Ω. When the control coil of the intermediate relay is not powered on, the normally open contact is detected as shown in the figure

② Detect the control coil. The detection of the control coil of the intermediate relay is shown in the figure. Generally, the higher the rated current of the contact, the lower the resistance of the control coil. This is because the rated current of the contact is larger, and the contact volume is larger. Only when the resistance of the control coil is smaller (with a thicker wire diameter) can a larger current flow and a stronger magnetic field be generated to close the contact ③ Energize the control coil to detect contacts. Apply rated voltage to the control coil of the intermediate relay, and then use a multimeter to test the resistance of the normally open and normally closed contacts. The normally open contacts should be in a closed state with a resistance close to 0 Ω, and the normally closed contacts should be in a disconnected state with an infinite resistance
