This standard specifies the basic requirements and preparation methods for industrial product user manuals (hereinafter referred to as user manuals)

3 Basic Requirements

3.1 The user manual is an essential part of the delivered product 3.2 The content of the user manual should be concise, accurate, easy to read and understand; The user manual should not be used to conceal design defects 3.3 The user manual should clearly specify the purpose and scope of application of the product, and provide the main structure, performance, model, specifications, correct lifting, installation, use, operation, repair, maintenance, and storage methods based on the characteristics and needs of the product, as well as safety measures to protect the operator and the product. Please refer to Appendix A for detailed information. If necessary, installation and maintenance instructions can be provided 3.4 The user manual should provide necessary information on environmental protection and energy conservation

3.5 For products with flammable, explosive, toxic, corrosive, radioactive or other properties, the user manual should include precautions, protective measures, and emergency handling methods in case of accidents When the product structure and performance are modified, the relevant content of the user manual must be promptly modified according to the prescribed procedures. Producers (using the concept of quality law) should provide users with instructions corresponding to the product

3.7 The user manual can be compiled according to the product model, or according to the product series or complete set of products. When compiling by series or complete set of products, the parts with different contents and parameters must be clearly distinguished

For complex products and complete equipment, user manuals can be prepared separately based on functional units and complete machines, and then combined into a system user manual based on product model and purpose. If necessary, a complete list of documents can be provided The user manual should clearly indicate the product, stating the model, style, or type of the product. It should not be confused between one model and its improved version, between two different models (no matter how small the difference is), or between different specifications under the same model, which may cause the user's manual to be inconsistent with the actual product being used

3.8 Raw material products such as metallurgy, minerals, building materials, chemicals, and components used for supporting the main engine factory can replace the user manual if the product manual and other technical documents can meet the user's needs for the user manual For products with safety restrictions or valid years, the production date and expiration date of the product should be provided 3.10 The publication date or version of the user manual should be indicated The expression of the technical content of the same product should be consistent in the manufacturer's user manual and other various materials (such as advertising or packaging) 3.12; When necessary, it should be prominently stated on the cover of the packaging or user manual: 'Please read the user manual before using the product'&Nbsp Products that implement production license management should be labeled with a valid production license number on the packaging
