During the evaporation plating process, the chip generates clamping marks due to the use of spring clips for fixation; In yellow light operation, if the development is incomplete or there are holes in the light mask, it will result in residual metal in the emitting area of the chip. Therefore, in order to ensure chip quality, it is necessary to conduct defect detection on LED chips in the LED front-end process to ensure product yield in the back-end process and improve production efficiency. The earliest method of chip detection was manual visual inspection, but with the gradual improvement of LED lighting and display industry technology, the miniaturization trend of packaging devices has put forward stricter requirements for chip detection. The difficulty of manual visual inspection has increased, the rate of misjudgment has increased, and certain types of defects cannot be detected, which no longer meets the detection requirements of the market. Automatic optical AOI detection technology can automatically locate and detect LED chips, effectively reducing worker labor intensity, reducing detection error rates, and greatly improving work efficiency, saving a lot of manpower and material costs. In 2018, Han's Semiconductor entered the visual inspection industry and successfully independently developed the LED chip AOI visual inspection machine (COT) in 2019. With rich research and development experience and technical accumulation in the field of LED chip detection, we independently developed the LED chip AOI visual inspection machine (COW) in 2020, breaking the technological monopoly of foreign companies on this equipment, and gradually gaining high recognition from industry benchmark customers.
