A substation refers to a place in the power system where voltage and current are transformed, energy is received, and energy is distributed. The substation inside the power plant is a step-up substation, which is used to boost the electrical energy emitted by the generator and feed it into the high-voltage power grid. (1) Class I substation. It refers to the exchange of ultra-high voltage stations, nuclear power, large-scale energy bases (3 million kW and above) for external transmission, and cross regional (North China, Central China, East China, Northeast, Northwest) communication with 750/500/330kV substations. (2) Class II substation. Refers to substations other than Class I substations, such as 750/500/330kV substations, power plant transmission substations (1 million kW and above, 3 million kW and below), and cross provincial connection 220kV substations. Substations where the main transformer or busbar shuts down or the switch refuses to operate, resulting in Level 4 or above power grid events. (3) Three types of substations. It refers to 220kV substations other than Class II, power plant transmission substations (300000 kW and above, 1 million kW and below), substations where the main transformer or busbar is shut down or the switch is refused to operate, causing a Level 5 power grid event, and substations that directly supply power to important users of Class I and above. (4) Four types of substations. It refers to 35kV and above substations except for Class I, II, and III. Note: All 220kV substations in the work area are classified as Class III substations, and all substations below 110kV are classified as Class IV substations
