Thyristor detection

Thyristor, also known as thyristor rectifier, was once referred to as thyristor; In 1957, General Electric Company of the United States developed the world's first thyristor product and commercialized it in 1958. Thyristor is a PNPN four layer semiconductor structure with three electrodes: anode, cathode, and gate; The working conditions of the thyristor are: applying a forward voltage and having a triggering current at the gate; Its derivative devices include: fast thyristors, bidirectional thyristors, reverse conduction thyristors, light controlled thyristors, etc. It is a high-power switching semiconductor device, represented by the letter "V" and "VT" in the circuit (represented by the letter "SCR" in the old standard). Thyristors have the characteristics of silicon rectifier devices and can operate under high voltage and high current conditions. Their working process can be controlled and are widely used in electronic circuits such as controllable rectification, AC voltage regulation, contactless electronic switches, inverters, and frequency converters. (1) Thyristors can be classified into ordinary thyristors, bidirectional thyristors, reverse thyristors, gate turn-off thyristors (GTO), BTG thyristors, temperature controlled thyristors, and light controlled thyristors according to their turn-off, conduction, and control methods. (2) Thyristors can be classified into bipolar thyristors, bipolar thyristors, and quadrupole thyristors based on their pins and polarity. (3) Thyristors can be classified into three types based on their packaging form: metal encapsulated thyristors, plastic encapsulated thyristors, and ceramic encapsulated thyristors. Among them, metal encapsulated thyristors are divided into various types, such as bolt shaped, flat shaped, and circular shell shaped; Plastic sealed thyristors can be divided into two types: those with heat dissipation fins and those without heat dissipation fins. (4) Thyristors can be classified into three types based on current capacity: high-power thyristors, medium power thyristors, and low-power thyristors. Usually, high-power thyristors are mostly packaged in metal shells, while medium and small power thyristors are mostly packaged in plastic or ceramic packaging. (5) Thyristors can be classified into ordinary thyristors and high-frequency (fast) thyristors based on their switching speed
