Ge Single Crystal and Ge Single Chip "(GB/T 5238-2019) is a national standard of the People's Republic of China implemented on May 1, 2020, under the jurisdiction of the National Semiconductor Equipment and Materials Standardization Technical Committee. The national standard "Single crystal germanium and single crystal germanium wafers" (GB/T 5238-2019) specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificates, and purchase orders (or contracts) for single crystal germanium and single crystal germanium wafers. This standard is applicable to the preparation of semiconductor devices, laser components, and infrared optical components. On December 28, 2016, the national standard plan "Germanium Single Crystal and Germanium Single Chip" (20162490-T-469) was issued, with a project period of 24 months. It was jointly proposed by TC203 (National Semiconductor Equipment and Materials Standardization Technical Committee) and TC203SC2 (Material Branch of National Semiconductor Equipment and Materials Standardization Technical Committee), and reported by TC203 (National Semiconductor Equipment and Materials Standardization Technical Committee), TC203SC2 (Material Branch of the National Semiconductor Equipment and Materials Standardization Technical Committee) is implemented, and the competent department is the National Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China. On June 4, 2019, the national standard "Germanium Single Crystal and Germanium Single Chip" (GB/T 5238-2019) was issued by the State Administration for Market Regulation of the People's Republic of China and the National Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China. On May 1, 2020, the national standard "Germanium Single Crystals and Germanium Monochips" (GB/T 5238-2019) was implemented, replacing the national standard "Germanium Single Crystals and Germanium Monochips" (GB/T 5238-2009). The revision was drafted based on the national standard "Germanium Single Crystals and Germanium Monochips" (GB/T 5238-2019) and the rules of the Chinese national standard "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Writing of Standards" (GB/T 1.1-2009)
