Testing of explosion-proof low-voltage AC (dual speed) vacuum electromagnetic starter for mining

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and naming, characteristics, structural and performance requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of explosion-proof low-voltage AC vacuum electromagnetic starters (hereinafter referred to as starters) for mining purposes. This standard is applicable to starters for direct or remote starting and stopping, reversing, and variable speed control of three-phase squirrel cage asynchronous motors in circuits with a rated frequency of 50Hz and a voltage of 1140V (1200V) and below in coal mines, while protecting the motor and related circuits. The provisions of this standard regarding overload protection do not apply to embedded overheating protection devices installed inside the motor. The clauses in the following documents are referred to as provisions of this standard through normative references. For dated references, all subsequent amendments (excluding corrected content) or revisions are not applicable to this standard. However, it is encouraged for all parties who have reached agreements based on this standard to investigate whether the latest versions of these documents can be used. For undated references, the latest version applies to this standard.
